Bruce registered for the draft in 1940 for World War II but he did not serve. He was 30 years old at the time and worked for DuPont at the Virginia location. From the reverse side of the card we learn that he was 5’11” tall, weighed 195 pounds, and had blue eyes and brown hair. The family lived at 361 Maple Avenue, Waynesboro, VA.
