Here’s a Labar I ran across doing research on my own line. This guy is not related to me directly and I can’t connect him to my line of Labars.
“Arlington La Bar married Violet Frutchey, daughter of Samuel Frutchey and Christina Weiss of Bangor, PA (Northampton County). Violet had three siblings: Flora May, Ruth (who married Louis La Bar) and Jennie.”
From the History of Northampton County Pennsylvania and The Grand Valley of the Lehigh under the supervision and revision of William J. Heller, 1920, published by the American Historical Society of Boston, New York and Chicago. Page 545.
There is a lot of info on him at this link at Ancestry.com.
Hi. My name is Holly Labar Wilson. My Father was Arlington Lewis Labar, Jr. His parents were Arlington and Violet listed above. My Dad had a number of sisters as follows (I hope I am not leaving anyone out):
Caroline, Lillian (Comunale), Christina, Kate, Alice (Werner), Minnie, Margaret, and Jennie
My Dad had several children who died very young. I know there was a set of twins, and a boy named Wayne. He also had a daughter named Donna Marie (Goodrich). She passed in 1975. He had a son, Blaine who lives in Kentucky. I am divorced and living in Tulsa, Oklahoma; however, I am getting ready to move to China.
Dad also served in WWII in the Navy from 1944-1946. He was born on 6/2/1920, and passed away on 9/17/1996 in Kentucky.
I really enjoyed reading through your research. Thank you,

Nathalie,
On behalf of the entire Cooker family I would like you to know how happy we are that you reached out to our mother. I was 8 years old when your biological mother tragically passed away and you and your brother Bruce spent some time with us before the two of you were taken by relatives. I always had wanted a younger sibling and in my mind I thought it was going to be you. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way and our entire family was not only devastated by the loss of your mother but also by the loss of the two of you. We have always wondered about the life you’ve led and are very happy to hear you’ve had a wonderful life in France. Donna-Marie and my mother were very close friends and your family spent a fair amount of time at our house, I don’t remember much about your mother except that she had an wonderful personality and was always making us laugh. Again, thank you for reaching out and I hope my family will be a part of this new chapter in your life. Safe travels.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I updated this page to include a link to Ancestry.com to a well-documented tree full of records for Arlington.
Hi Holly and Nathalie. My Name is Kenneth Termaine, Mary Labar was my mother’s aunt, Donna Marie and Blaine are my cousins.I can remember being there when their new house was being built outside of Bangor Pennsylvania we played in the sand pile and help carry cinderblocks we also went sleigh riding on the hill behind the house. Uncle Bud At the time was working on one of the smokestacks for the Martins Creek power station. He also came to our house one day and put a new window in our kitchen he was very skilled carpenter. Sadly after the death of my mother in 1961 of a heart attack I never was back to visit with them. There has been much sadness with the descendants of the Emrich family. I live in Mount Pleasant New Jersey and just had our first grandson born yesterday. I would be happy to help in anyway I can, my email address is 1tremaine@embarqmail.com
