In April 2015, the Furst family gathered in Bellefonte, PA, to attend the re-dedication of a plaque honoring Caroline W.C. Furst (1845-1936), founder of the Bellefonte chapter of the DAR in 1895. The plaque is located behind the local library under a fir tree planted in 1935 in memory of Caroline.

The ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church with a tea afterwards at the Reynolds Mansion. Later we walked around Bellefonte to see the old family homes and stopped at the cemetery to see the family graves.
