From The LeBlond Book by C.T. Courtney Lewis:

89. The Burning-glass. Le Blond, No. 73.
This tragedy is laid at the back of a rural cottage, where, in addition to five children, there are a dog, a basket of apples, and a water-butt. On the left is the open gate, with hollyhocks beside it, leading to the lane. One boy, whilst he holds fast the hand of another, is showing him, by means of a burning-glass, the power of the sun’s rays when concentrated. The lesson, if practical, seems painful, and draws upon the instructor the wrath of grandma, who, hearing the cries, has come to the cottage door. The little girl by her is in tears, and even the dog has commiseration in his eyes.

Size, width 6 ¾ inches, length 5 ¼ inches. M.R. £2 5s. The print is signed on the bottom left centre.
